The Nebraska Army National Guard conducted a special training session today.Family and friends were invited to observe members of the 134th infantry completing a training exercise during the drill weekend — giving those who don’t serve an opportunity to see what soldiers might face when deployed. The 134th infantry practiced a contact demonstration that used blank rounds in the guns, but real aircraft in the sky.The infantry members say the trainings help prepare them for times when these skills become necessary. “Our job is to be so proficient and capable that our enemies across the globe would not even want to think about trying to challenge us,” Col.
